about me

Back In 1998 I set off on what was intended to be a sabbatical year of travel and adventure—a break from the world of counselling and psychotherapy in which I was working at the time. Inevitably, my plans changed and instead of returning to London I moved to the United States for several years—where European credentials in psychotherapy are not recognized. Unable to work as a therapist, I fell back on my history of bricolage and worked variously as a photographer, writer, web designer, tutor and occasional lecturer instead.

Before all this, in what now feels like a previous life, I spent years in windowless rooms working as a music recording engineer. More on that here.

I am now back in England, where I have been doing some graduate work in Cognitive Science at the University of Sussex. I work as a moderator and interviewer in medical market research; I also write a bit, teach a bit, and am in the process of resuming my therapeutic practice.
